Monday, Merge Network Internet poker site FeltStars.com announced it will host a World Series of Poker freeroll. According to a FeltStars press release, the freeroll will feature a $12000 prize pool and will take place May 2, 2010, at 6 p.m. EST.

Of the freeroll’s $12000 prize pool, $11000 will go to the tournament’s winner in the form of an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas and a seat in the 2010 WSOP Main Event. The remaining $1000, Felt Stars said, will go toward cash prizes for those who place in the tournament.

The poker room went on to say that only registered FeltStars players who deposit $25 or more between March 15 and April 30 will receive a registration coupon for the tournament. Because FeltStars will only issue 5000 of these free coupons the operator said interested players must make their deposits immediately.

“This is one of the best WSOP promotions in online poker,” Team FeltStars pro Tyler Smith said. “This is everyone’s chance to win a seat in the WSOP Main Event for free.”

The World Series of Poker is not endorsing FeltStars’ freeroll. FeltStars said it will require the freeroll’s winner both attend the 2010 WSOP Main Event and wear FeltStars promotional clothing while there.
