Rumored to be the product of a top-secret Soviet genetics experiment, the Pultsin twins are so identical that if one drinks a bottle of vodka the other will suffer a hangover in the morning. This freakish interconnectedness has led some to believe the twins engage in collusion during poker tournaments, but as of yet no one has been able to prove these suspicions.

Dick Spadely

Heir to the Spadely oil fortune, Richard Fennimore Spadely IX has always suffered from a bit of an “inferiority complex” and, as a result, took up playing poker and acting like a cowboy at a very young age. A spoiled brat at heart, Spadely will cheat, rob and use violence to prove he’s superior to all the little people around him.

Dolly Finegold

As the daughter of famous poker champion and Cold War-era spy Lord Arthur Finegold, Dolly has enjoyed rank and fortune throughout her life. And yet somehow she remains as down-to-earth as the girl next door. She met Ace while playing in the 2005 World Championship of Poker and liked him so much she decided to stick around

Hank Johnson

Hank Johnson began playing online poker while working at a record store in Seattle, and discovered he was so good at the game he could quit his job and play on the semi-pro circuit for a living. He currently resides in his mother’s basement in Olympia with his dog, Milo, and parakeet, Cynthia.

Lin Kwan

Orphaned during the Korean War, Lin Kwan was adopted by an American Army surgeon and grew up in the U.S. In 1966, he dropped out of Johns Hopkins Medical School and subsequently discovered his super-human hand dexterity was good for more than just sewing people up, while playing blackjack with a bunch of acid freaks at Woodstock.

Phill and Tom

As the World Championship of Poker’s official announcers, Tom and Phill are inseparable. The only thing is, they are exact opposites: If Phill likes white cheese, Tom likes yellow; if Tom likes Pepsi, Phill likes Coke. In fact, it’s amazing they’ve managed to work together for so long without killing each other!

Some Blonde Chick

Ace has many, many fans, but somehow this chick always manages to show up at the tournaments he’s playing in. Dolly secretly despises her for hogging up the stage and giving Ace a smooch every time he goes through his “Hi, I’m Ace Hoyle” spiel.
